what are these little snail things with pincers on my garden fence?
they are about 1-2cm long and have thin grey shells, when you pick one up by its shell it pops its head out and has two pincers or claws that try to bite, i have spent 2 hours looking around on-line and cant find a thing about them. they sort of look like little snails but with pincers, they seem to congregate in groups on fence pannels and posts. please i hope someone can tell me what they are please?
Snails don’t have pincers. You must have hermit crabs.
