Services We Offer Mowing, edging, and blowing - Our basic service includes a clip for your front and back lawns along with a trim around the edges. We clean up after ourselves of course! Grass clippings can be mulched back into the lawn (recommended), recycled in your green waste container, or hauled to the green waste dump for a $2 fee. Aeration - Core aeration is the removal of small cores of soil measuring roughly 1"x2" to allow water, nutrients, and grass seed into the soil. Aeration also improves drainage and absorption and helps reduce the build up of a dead layer of grass called thatch. It is recommended that you aerate your lawn twice a year. For valley residents, we recommend aerating in the early spring and in mid summer. For foothill residents, an aeration in late spring and one in early fall should do the trick. Aeration is especially important for lawns that have clippings mulched back into them. Garden preparation - Greenscape can prepare your garden for the growing season. We can rototiller your growing space, prepare your soil with fertilizer, and even construct a planter box on site. We can also install a composter for you. We will leave the planting to you! Irrigation/Sprinkler adjustment - Greenscape can adjust your sprinkler or irrigation system when necessary. We also perform minor repairs such as fixing a broken sprinkler head and installing new controllers. Hedge trimming - Many people trim their hedges once in the spring and once in the fall. Why would you, though, when we can do that for you? Or, if you like to keep your hedges looking great year-round, we can give your hedges more frequent attention. Planting, pruning, and weeding - Simple and self explanatory but you probably still don't like to do it. Let Greenscape do these services for you as you need them. Fertilization - Who doesn't like green grass? While your lawn can get a good portion of it's nutrients from being properly mulched, an occasional fertilization is very beneficial. Greenscape uses only organic fertilizers that are made of plant or animal waste when necessary. Leaf removal - In most cases, leaf removal is a seasonal chore. However, anyone who has certain trees such as redwoods must keep up on removing the droppings as buildup can be harmful to nearby plants. We can remove leaves and other plant droppings and properly dispose of them in your green waste canister or haul them to the green waste dump. Rain gutter cleaning - This service is recommended once every fall. During the previous growing season, your gutter has likely filled and clogged with plant material. Make sure your gutters are functioning properly when the rainy season comes. We can also install gutter guards that are unnoticeable from the ground. High grass/brush removal - Whether it is for cosmetic purposes or to alleviate fire dangers, the stuff has to go. We can cut it out, cut it up, and either put it in your green waste container or take it to the green waste dump. Pressure washing - It takes very little water shot at high pressure to make your porches and walkways look incredible. We can take off just about anything! Delivery and placement of landscaping materials - Stone, gravel, and bark landscaping materials add aesthetic, environmental, and functional value to your yard. We are happy to deliver! Delivery and placement of decorative stones - We can lay paver stones to create a meandering garden path or semi-permanent surface for your lawn chairs and table. Add a whole new dimension to you outdoor living space. Shed/Storage Solutions - Greenscape can come up with a storage solution that meets your needs. We can prepare the ground and assemble a shed or storage box for you. Outdoor energy consultation - Greenscape will provide a free outdoor energy evaluation to see if your property is energy efficient. We can suggest and make appropriate changes to minimize your electricity consumption and save you money. Some common inexpensive improvements include switching to solar-powered walk way lighting, replacing flood lights and porch lights with compact fluorescent bulbs or LED lighting, and even planting a tree.
